Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, the Reformed Church in Transcarpathia has continued its ministry under extraordinarily difficult circumstances, sustained by the unwavering solidarity of its international partners. During a visit from 7–9 July, delegates from partner churches and organisations gained first-hand insight into the church's ministries while continuing a long-standing dialogue on the needs and future of the Reformed Church in Transcarpathia (Ukraine).
Emma Perry’s journey took her from Texas to Transcarpathia. Over the past three years, she has served in the Ecumenical Office of the Synod of the Reformed Church in Hungary. Her work here profoundly reshaped her way of thinking, while her visits to Transcarpathia showed her that when creativity is paired with faith, it can truly move mountains. We talked about her experiences before she returned to the United States.
On February 17, a delegation from the Synod Office of the Reformed Church in Hungary visited the Transcarpathian Reformed Church in Berehove. The gathering began with a devotion led by Bishop Sándor Zán Fábián, after which participants reviewed current status of cooperation and the situation of the Transcarpathian congregations.
