The 12th ‘Starpoint’ youth festival of the Reformed Church in Hungary will take place between 14 and 19 July at the lake Balaton. 28 international delegates will attend the event representing nine countries. The motto of this year's event, “respire” refers to the multiple anxieties that affect young people and the possibility of how they can be freed from them. Many of the programmes will address the mental health issues of the under-30 generation, with small group discussions led by experienced spiritual leaders.

‘Starpoint’ is a God-centred youth festival created by the Reformed Church in Hungary, organized biennially since 2003 with the objective to promote Gospel renewal and bring about conversions in the lives of all young people in Hungary (and beyond) through the love of God and the power of the community. It is through them that local churches shall be strengthened. One of our goals is to bring thousands of young people together in one place, at one time, so that they are renewed and recharged spiritually.
God and the youth in focus
The Starpoint brings together young people of similar age who share the same concerns and values. The best feeling is when we realise and understand that God knows and loves us! It is important for us to give young people the space to experience this sensation, to explore their own faith and to be strengthened in it.
We also place emphasis on providing young people with enjoyable and stimulating atmosphere and programmes, including concerts, seminars, performances and presentations.
Participants not only get away from their everyday lives through a variety of concerts, spiritual and cultural programs, sport events and recreational activities, but also have the opportunity for both physical and spiritual renewal.

More than a music festival
The Starpoint Festival is much more than an ordinary music festival: it is a community that creates real value, shapes lives and builds human connections.
It is the fruit of the committed work of more than 600 volunteers who, with all their energy and enthusiasm, work at full speed in the months leading up to the festival to make sure everyone has a great time.
Starpoint is hosted on the shores of the Lake Balaton, which makes the festival experience very special and turns it into a real holiday for all participants.
