Communiqué regarding the Roman-Catholic Theological High School in Târgu Mureș
2017. szeptember 07., csütörtökThe Presidium of the Reformed Church in Hungary, answering the call of Dr. György Jakubinyi, Archbishop of Alba Julia, Romania, issued a communiqué to express its solidarity with the Theological High School in Târgu Mureș. “We all might know about the events that took place concerning the Roman-Catholic Theological High School in Târgu Mureș last year and especially in the last days… In the present situation, the Roman-Catholic Status Foundation of Transylvania is again in the situation to seek justice in the street, to rise her voice for justice, to step up for justice by organizing an awareness campaign” reads in the statement of the Archbishop.

The Reformed Church in Hungary (RCH) observes with profound concern the resent developments around the Roman-Catholic Theological High School in Târgu Mureș, Romania. RCH stands up for the right of the Hungarian communities outside Hungary to education in mother tongue and denounces all attempts to violate this right with administrative means.
The leadership and community of RCH express their solidarity with the community of the Roman-Catholic Theological High School in Târgu Mureș.

In light of the coronavirus the Presidium of RCH requested congregations to suspend all church events with immediate effect. Beside restrictions, it calls for prayer, sobriety and responsibility.
